Lee Mirabai Harrington to Join Lama Tsering and Dr. Ji Hyang at August Medicine Buddha Workshop

We are excited to announce that Lee Mirabai Harrington will lend her healing and musical gifts to our workshop August 27- September 1 at Omega Institute.

A long-term Buddhist practitioner and Sowa Rigpa therapist, Lee Harrington has served on the faculty at Tibet House, Menla and the Omega Institute, teaching meditation, mantra-healing and nejang (a Tibetan self-healing practice). She is also an award-winning vocalist, specializing in healing mantras from the Tibetan Buddhist and Sowa Rigpa traditions. For the past two decades she has been leading kirtans and manta workshops at such venues as Kripalu, Sivananda Bahamas, and Yogaville--to name a few--as well as at dharma centers, churches, and spiritual retreat centers worldwide. She believes that we all have the capacity to awaken the natural healing state within us; and she believes that a well-trained mind is capable of great benefit.

We will weave ancient teachings related to the Medicine Buddha together with cutting- edge relational-cultural neuroscience that describes why these practices work so effectively. We will gain an understanding of how Buddhist healing practices have catalyzed the contemplative sciences and healing arts. This will include attunements in the path of Reiki, and teaching that illuminates Reiki’s roots in Japanese Buddhist culture. We will experience the power of these paths directly through experiential exercises. Lama Tsering and Dr. Ji Hyang will also offer the opportunity to take refuge in the Bodhisattva path through sacred ceremony.
